Helping nonprofits communicate their impact through design and storytelling

I create visual content and communications that help organizations connect with
their communities, share their message clearly, and expand their impact.

I’m Marissa Elder, a digital media specialist and communications professional with a passion for supporting nonprofits and mission-driven organizations.

I hold a degree in Multimedia Design and Development and spent over a decade building my career in digital media, developing skills in graphic design, photography, videography, and web design.

I specialize in translating meaningful work into clear, engaging visual content—helping organizations better connect with their communities, communicate their impact, and further their mission.

Over the years, I’ve partnered with organizations such as Enriching Lives, Soroptimist International, Cheer San Francisco, and more, creating marketing materials, digital content, and visual assets that support outreach, storytelling, and program visibility.

In 2019, I expanded my career into direct service work, where I currently serve as a Social Work Supervisor supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This experience has deepened my understanding of community impact, human connection, and the importance of thoughtful, accessible communication.

My approach is both creative and intuitive. I take time to understand the heart of an organization’s work, then bring it to life through thoughtful design and strategic communication.

Whether it’s developing print materials, social media content, or cohesive branding, my goal is always the same: to make important work more visible, accessible, and impactful.
I believe design has the power to connect people to purpose, and
I’m passionate about using it to support work that makes the world a better place.
